A 22-year-old student at N.C. A&T University was shot in the leg at Mallard Creek Park in northeast Charlotte Sunday night, police say.
Police say Ahmad Inman Clyburn called 911 at 9:17 p.m. to report he had been shot; they found him lying beside his vehicle at the park entrance, near the intersection of Johnston Oehler and Mallard Creek roads.
Clyburn was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where he went into surgery. Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call 704-432-7477 and speak to a detective.
