Charlotte residents would be better protected from homeowners associations if the General Assembly passes several key pieces of legislation, lawmakers said last week.

Kids can cook up some fun May 25 at SouthPark Mall. Little foodies can grow their culinary skills by taking in fun food demonstrations, creating food-related arts and crafts and more. This event is free for Simon Kidgits club members and runs from 2 - 4 p.m. Cost for nonmembers is $5. Bring a can of food to donate to a local food drive.
