The monthlong April is for the Arts celebration concludes this weekend with the juried Art on the Green festival. The show features more than 50 artists from the Lake Norman area, as well the rest of North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Arizona and Maine. Artists will show off their works of sculpture, watercolor, photography, wood, glass and ceramics, and the public can buy anything that catches their eye.
Holocaust remembrance discussion: In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the church will host Ken Garfield, former religion editor for The Charlotte Observer, who will speak about the history of the Holocaust, share some of his conversations with survivors, and answer questions.
