Save Money in this Sunday's paper

Obviously, uptown Charlotte is going to be one massive party all weekend long with the CIAA tournament tipping off in our town. But here are some other options with less traffic and parking hassles.

The snow finally stopped and Charlotte has reopened, so finish your milk sandwiches and get out of the house. Here are my top party picks to help you plan that outing for this 60-degree weekend.

In case Hallmark hasn’t reminded you yet, it’s Valentine’s Day. If you don’t already have dinner reservations (or a date, for that matter) here are some things to do to celebrate.

For most, it’s just another weekend. But for me, it’s “My Birthday Weekend.” So if I were actually still excited about birthdays and celebrating them, here are the events that I would be participating in to do so.

If you’ve made it this far into January and not broken your resolution, then cheers to you! You should celebrate, and if you resolved to get out and try new things this year, here are some events going on this weekend to help you with that.

Two words for you: Go Panthers! The Panthers’ first playoff game since 2008 is good for Charlotte nightlife, too, as uptown will transform into one massive tailgate party all weekend. And if you didn’t get tickets within the first three minutes they went on sale, here are some places to go before, during, and after the NFC Divisional Playoff game.

Have you recovered from NYE yet? Well, you can continue the celebration with the first weekend in 2014. Here are some suggestions and a tribute to the best new additions to Charlotte nightlife in 2013 (drumroll, please)…
