Kovalev leaves Canadiens for 2-year deal with Sens

Alex Kovalev signed a two-year, $10 million deal Monday with the Ottawa Senators, leaving the rival Montreal Canadiens after parts of five seasons.

LaRose signs 2-year contract

Carolina Hurricanes forward Chad LaRose has signed a two-year contract that will pay him $1.5 million next season and $1.9 million in the second season, general manager Jim Rutherford said Thursday.
