Nov. 8: Season-opener for Norman Fishery Alliance's fall/winter/spring series of monthly tournaments on Lake Norman. Entry fee $100 per boat. Participants must be NFA members at $25 per year. Based at Midway Bait & Tackle. Fishing starts at 6 a.m. and anglers may depart from anywhere on the lake. Weigh-in starts at 3 p.m. Information: David Clubb, (704) 663-9441.
