KIDS STAY FREE FOR THANKSGIVING AT PINEHURST: Nov. 25-28 - Thanksgiving time - the overnight rate at Pinehurst Resort includes room, breakfast and dinner and includes entrance into a weekend's full list of activities that the entire family can enjoy. VISIT HISTORIC MARYLAND SITES: Clara Barton's home for the last 15 years of her life was also the first permanent home for the American Red Cross, which she founded in 1881. Tours of the site, in Glen Echo, Md. - suburban Washington - give visitors a chance to see elements of Red Cross history and artifacts from the time when Barton lived there. Just across a scenic bridge is Glen Echo Park, the historic spot that once was an amusement park for Washingtonians. Now it's home to a children's theater and dance and art classes.
