There's no such thing as a free meal. A man was arrested on fraud charges after he left Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Uptown without paying his $122.81 bill.

Two cars were broken into on
Ideal Way in
Dilworth on Aug. 16 or 17. A CD player was stolen from one; an iPod, dock and adapter, Oakley sunglasses, cell phone charger and old wallet were nabbed from the other.
Someone broke into a Lexus in a
Sixth Street parking deck and stole a Magellan GPS system and iPod Touch.
A TomTom GPS system, car stereo, Verizon Bluetooth headset, iPod nano, Gucci sunglasses and Chanel sunglasses were stolen from a car on
Cleveland Avenue in
Dilworth.
Someone broke into a car parked in
Elizabeth and stole a Louis Vitton purse but ditched the purse and its contents just down the block.
Someone stole a woman's Motorola phone from a pool table while she was at Jillian's in
South End on Aug. 17.
A woman drove off from a
Central Avenue gas station without paying $32 for the gas she had pumped.
Prescription medications, $20 cash and tickets to the hospital cafeteria were stolen from a woman's purse while she was sleeping in the
Levine Children's Hospital family lounge.
