The Ballantyne Resort is celebrating its seventh anniversary with the reopening of the Golf Club Sept. 18 and the addition of an outdoor pool to open in the spring.

“Ballantyne Resort continues to be a labor of love, and these upcoming enhancements are a testament to our commitment to deliver the best in quality and service,” said General Manager Steve Kalczynski.

Upgrades to the Golf Club's championship, par 71 course include the rebuilding, expanding and laser leveling of all 18 tee boxes, expansion of several greens, revamping of all bunkers, enhanced practice facilities with a laser leveled driving range surface, addition of two putting greens and a pavilion with food and beverage service and restrooms. There also were significant design changes to holes numbered 2, 3, 8 and 12.

The resort has also upgraded its guest rooms with flat screen televisions.

In the spring, a new outdoor pool will open overlooking the 18th green. It will have food and beverage service, changing rooms, a gazebo, cabanas with TVs, refrigerators and fans.

The resort is at 10000 Ballantyne Commons Parkway.
