FLORHAM PARK, N.J. New York Jets receiver Laveranues Coles has a concussion and his status for the team's game against Kansas City was uncertain Thursday.
Coles didn't practice Wednesday. He participated in warmups Thursday during the 30-minute window the media are allowed to watch, but didn't participate in 11-on-11 drills for the second day.

The Bengals receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson said he'll wear his old name on the back of his uniform for the rest of the season.
The Pro Bowl receiver legally changed his name to Ocho Cinco in August, shortly before the start of the season. Reebok, which produces NFL jerseys for sale to fans, had a large inventory of jerseys with his old name ready for sale.
The league respected the receiver's name change, but said he couldn't wear “Ocho Cinco” on the back of his jersey until he compensated Reebok for the old jerseys.
NEW ENGLAND: Quarterback Tom Brady has undergone more procedures to clean out infection on his surgically repaired knee, the Boston Herald reported.
If the infection is not under control, the patellar tendon graft used to replace Brady's anterior cruciate ligament could become compromised. If that happens, Brady could need to redo the surgery – delaying his rehabilitation.
TENNESSEE: Running back Chris Johnson has been fined $10,000 for his celebration after a 66-yard touchdown run against Kansas City.
The NFL said Johnson was fined for unsportsmanlike conduct for banging on drums in the Chiefs' pep band.
WASHINGTON: Defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin's sprained shoulder will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Cornerback Shawn Springs is expected to sit out for the second straight week with a strained left calf.
EX-PLAYER CHARGED: In Pomona, Calif., kicker Tony Zendejas, who retired in 1995 after 10 years, has been ordered to stand trial on charges that he drugged a woman at his sports bar and raped her.
Prosecutors allege that Zendejas gave a woman a drink at his San Dimas bar that made her groggy. She told authorities she woke up in a nearby motel and had been raped.
His attorney says the accusations are false.
