Symphony guild holds holiday tour

The Salisbury Symphony Guild is hosting its fifth annual Christmas Homes Tour, 2-6 p.m. Dec. 6-7. The event, which will benefit the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, will feature six homes with strolling musicians, Princess Diana gowns and many holiday collections. Mattamy Homes opens models at The Enclave

Mattamy Homes recently completed and opened two single-family model homes at The Enclave off N.C. 160 and N.C. 49 in Charlotte. The Turner model has three bedrooms and 2,020 square feet of living space starting at $186,990. Huntersville resident's couch wins ugly status

Huntersville resident David Krailo was chosen as a semi-finalist for Sure Fit's 2008 Ugly Couch Contest. He and Charlotte resident Lisa Gray are among 20 contestants in the running for a $5,000 living room makeover, courtesy of Sure Fit furniture cover manufacturer and Kim Myles, designer and host of HGTV's “Myles of Style.” Voting is open to the public until next Saturday at www.surefit.com.
