Western Mecklenburg

First Baptist Church-West now offers free health advice and health checks twice a week.

An art exhibit for local artists kicks off with a wine-and-cheese reception, 7-10 p.m. Friday, at Studio Elysia in The ArtHouse, 3103 Cullman Ave. in the North Davidson Street arts district.
