The Mint Museum of Art is featuring a retrospective exhibit of Jones' work titled: Lois Mailou Jones: A Life in Vibrant Color, which showcases 70 of her paintings. CCS students' artwork will be on display at the museum through Jan. 31.

Mount Pleasant

Helping out: The AWSUM Club spent the day after Christmas feeding the needy in Charlotte. A special "Thank You" goes out to Ms. McCorkle's Foods classes for spending time baking lasagna for those in need. The AWSUM Club used $300 to buy food and supplies - this money came from the fundraisers our community donates to the club and its mission to help. If you are interested in contributing funds to causes such as this, please e-mail michael.landers@cabarrus.k12.nc.us and let us know how you would like to help.
