Police are looking for suspects in a pair of drive-by shootings overnight in Charlotte, including one incident in which someone fired into a residence occupied by a child.
Police say someone fired six bullets into a house about 1:30 a.m. on Goff Street, near Rozzells Ferry and Hoskins roads in northwest Charlotte.
The house was occupied by two adults and a young girl. Police told WCNC-TV, the Observer's news partner, that the bullets hit the front room of the house, and two entered the kitchen area.
A neighbor reported seeing a cream-colored Acura sedan leaving the area after the shots were fired, WCNC is reporting.
The second shooting happened about 5:15 a.m., in the 7200 block of Point Lake Drive, off Albemarle Road east of W.T. Harris Boulevard. In this case, police say, someone fired shots into an occupied apartment unit.
