Practice-Makes-Perfect LLC, which converts swingsets into sport sets for baseball, softball, football and soccer, opened recently in Cornelius.

The company's Backyard Practice Pro, for which a patent is pending, helps youth ages 6 to 16 develop sports skills and confidence while having fun in their backyards, company president Scott Essex said.
