Distressed-property sales in 2010 in Mecklenburg County Mecklenburg for the first time since 2002-'03 is revaluing properties to set new tax values, and a key factor is comparable sales of homes. An epidemic of foreclosures has county officials factoring in sales of foreclosed and otherwise distressed sales when resetting tax values.
