Lorie Robinson is a Realtor with Allen Tate, works a second job part time and is the organizer of the nonprofit Dress for Success PowerWalk on May 7 at Freedom Park. Oh, and she’s getting married the following week. I’m exhausted just writing that. How does she do it?

“Even when I was little, my mother tells me that I would lay out my clothes for school the next day, so I guess I’ve always been self-disciplined and self-motivated,” she says. Here are her tips for getting the most out of your day:

Make a plan. “I make lots of lists and I have an agenda every day. I use a calendar – not a Blackberry calendar - and I list things for that day in order of importance. Sometimes conflicts come up and things get shifted around, but for the most part I stay on point.”

Control your thoughts. “You have to organize your thought process as well. If your thoughts are scattered, you have to rein them in. That’s my I use lists because when you see your thoughts on paper, it’s easier to prioritize them.”

Stay strong. “I feel very strongly about fitness. Priorities around the house as well as fitness go hand in hand. If your mind and body are fit, then you’re apt to be more productive.”

Be a team. “My fiancé is a top salesperson in his field so we both understand that teamwork is essential. He’s not above helping me put out flyers and signs for my open houses.”

Know when to delegate. “When it comes to our wedding, that’s one thing we didn’t want to plan. (The facility is handling the planning.) We want to enjoy every minute.”
