Female employees from Lowe's, above, erect a frame wall Tuesday at one of two houses being built in Charlotte by Women Build, a branch of Habitat for Humanity. Women Build began 20 years ago with a group of Charlotte women. It spread across the United States and to 30 other countries, forever changing the complexion of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat, Women Build and Lowe's kicked off the anniversary celebration with the two houses.
Habitat staff member Joanna Ball, left, levels out the wood framing with a sledgehammer.
