MOOSIC, Pa. - Andrew Brackman had a solid five innings Tuesday night.
The former N.C. State basketball and baseball star had three walks and two wild pitches during a four-run sixth that put the Charlotte Knights ahead in an 8-2 Class AAA International League baseball victory against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Jim Gallagher had an RBI double and Dallas McPherson a two-run double before the second wild pitch. Walking Lastings Milledge finished the night for Brackman (2-5).
Kanekoa Texeira allowed Jordan Danks' RBI single before the sixth ended. Then Texeira gave up Dayan Viciedo's one-out, two-run double for a 7-2 lead in the seventh.
The Yankees tried to rally but left the bases loaded in the seventh and runners on first and second in the eighth.

HICKORY 10, LAKEWOOD 3: Odubel Herrera, Jacob Skole and Jonathan Roof each drove in two for the host Crawdads.
ROME 5, KANNAPOLIS 2: Edward Salcedo had a bases-loaded triple with two outs in the fifth to give the Braves a 4-0 lead at Kannapolis.
