J.T. Poston, Hickory, Sr.: Shot single-day (63) and two-day (131) scoring records at the N.C. 3A state finals. Won past two state titles. Three-time conference player of the year signed to Western Carolina.

Andy Simmons, Myers Park, So.: Two-time Southwestern 4A player of the year had a 37.1 9-hole stroke average and finished 11th at the N.C. 4A state tournament.

Philip Oweida, Myers Park, So.: Carmel Country Club Invitational and N.C. 4A Western regional medalist was fourth at the state tournament.

Davis Bateman, Providence Day, So.: Co-medalist of the NCISAA state finals. Named all-state and all-conference, and named all-tournament at prestigious Palmetto Golf Tournament.

Archer Price, Gaston Day, Fr.: Finished tied for second at NCISAA 2A championships and won the Gaston County Amateur title this season.

Chad Cox, Hickory Grove, Jr.: N.C. State recruit finished third at the state championship behind two golfers who shot 1 stroke better than his 139.

All-Observer/All-Region player of the year: Poston, Hickory.

All-Observer/All-Mecklenburg coach of the year: Dean Preston, Providence Day.
