Fulbright Scholarship winner

Concord's Alyssa D'Addezio won a Fulbright Scholarship, receiving a place at a five-week summer institute at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom.

The US-UK Fulbright Commission, part of the larger Fulbright program, is the only bilateral, trans-Atlantic scholarship program that offers awards and summer study in any field, and places about 50 undergraduate students each year. D'Addezio is a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High and is a Park Scholar studying human biology and English at N.C. State.
