Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but shoes come in a close second. Shoes can make any outfit special and your wedding day shouldn’t be any different. Whether you are wearing a short wedding dress or a long one, your shoes are still an important detail! Here are some fun shoe options to add flair to your bridal ensemble.

Add a pop of color

Don’t be afraid to venture away from the typical plain white heel. Go for some color! Colored heels make for great pictures and you can even get your groom to match his socks with your shoes. You can go for a daring red or go for “something blue.” La Pour Victoure even has a pair of white platforms with robin-egg-blue soles.

Opt for some sparkle

If color isn’t your thing, another option is something with sparkle. A metallic shoe is a wonderful way to break from traditional white but still add some twinkle to your toes. If you really want to stick with a white shoe, then go for a little accent with sparkle. Trust us, a little glitz goes a long way.

Go for a flat

Yes, your wedding day will be beautiful and amazing; however, it can be a long day for your feet. Don’t feel like you have to wear a heel. Go for something flat. You can go for a cute, colored ballet flat or a sparkly sandal. They can still be adorable and your feet will thank you.

Tips for wedding shoes

- Bring your shoes to your bridal dress fitting! This is very important to ensure that your dress isn’t too short or dragging on the floor.

- Whether it’s heels or flats, make sure the shoes are comfortable. It’s one of the biggest days of your life and you don’t want it to be ruined because your feet are killing you. You can break in your shoes in by wearing them around your house.

- Remember, there are fabulous shoes at every price point.

- When shopping for your shoes, keep your wedding gown in mind. Find a pair of shoes that go with the style and overall feel of your gown.

- Keep in mind your venues. If your wedding is going to be outside, then you might want to steer clear of high heels, unless you want to aerate the lawn. If your wedding is on the beach, then sandals are the way to go.
