LOUISVILLE, Ky. The Charlotte Knights broke the game open with a four-run third inning to beat the Louisville Bats 7-4 in an International League game Saturday.

Both teams scored a run in the second inning, Charlotte's coming on an RBI single by leadoff batter Alejandro De Aza. Louisville scored on Corky Miller's home run, the 700th of his minor-league career.

In the top of the fourth, the Knights jumped to a 5-1 lead off Bats starting pitcher Scott Carroll (6-6). The Knights had five hits in the inning.

Dallas McPherson doubled and scored and Dayan Viciedo, Lastings Milledge and Jordan Danks added RBI singles for the Knights.
