Brett Ward of Marvin Ridge High topped the Job Interview competition at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda national leadership conference at the end of June in Orlando, Fla.
His event assessed job skills such as creating a professional resume and application, and performance in an interview process that included four separate interviews. About 8,000 students attended, competing in more than 55 events and going to workshops, exhibits and presentations.
“Brett definitely earned the title of National Champion for this event,” said Troy Burns, teacher and faculty advisor for Marvin Ridge.
