Northridge Middle School students were selected as one of five regional winners in the Staples Urban Environment Challenge, which recognizes youths who address environmental issues related to urban climate change.
Students created the Go Green group, designed to help the Charlotte school become eco-friendly. Northridge Middle will receive a $1,000 Classroom of the Future kit that includes video cameras, LCD projectors and computer software.
