North Carolina cornerback Jabari Price had successful surgery today to repair a tendon in his left hand, the school announced. He will be sidelined for six weeks, and his status will be updated then.

Price, a sophomore starter, sustained the injury during Tuesday's practice. Thursday, Todd Harrelson switched from wide receiver to cornerback, and Tre Boston -- who had switched from cornerback to safety -- moved back to cornerback to try to fill the gap in the secondary.
