Marcel Boss, 17, of Huntersville received his Eagle Scout Award in August. Among his 25 merit badges are ones for Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, and Citizenship of the World, earned as he and his family applied to become U.S. citizens after emigrating from Switzerland in 2002. They were granted citizenship on Sept. 11, 2008.
For his Eagle project, he led a crew of 20 volunteers in building a 25-foot footbridge at the new Bradford Park in Huntersville.
