Charlotte's top 'Tweeps'

You'll find a vibrant online community of "Tweeps" (or "Twitter people," to the uninitiated) to communicate with on Twitter here in Charlotte.

In a city known for its openness to newcomers, people active in Twitter circles are some of the most welcoming folks you'll meet.

Follow a few good local Twitter feeds and personalities and you'll get an unfiltered current of information, insights and observations about Charlotte and its people.

With that in mind, here are 10 Twitter accounts a newcomer to Charlotte might find useful:

@CLTweetup: Revolves around a monthly networking social, where local Tweeps can connect with others.
