Mark has offered three MomsCharlotte readers a mascara/eye liner combo for our latest giveaway. To give you a taste of their products - and the company - we asked local Mark representative Courtney Hill a few questions.

Courtney, 21, studies business management at UNC Charlotte. (She's a junior.) She hails from Holly Springs, N.C. Here's what she told us. Some responses have been edited for clarity.

What's your plan for after graduation?

I plan on continuing to sell Mark and also use the skills I have learned from selling Mark. And managing my own business to pursue a career in what I have studied.

Why did you decide to sell Mark cosmetics?

I decided to sell Mark because it is a great way to make extra money on your own time. There are no quotas you have to meet monthly and you sell as you please. Mark also provides each representative with a wonderful mentor, who helps you boost your business in anyway they can; they are there to help you succeed! I am also in love with the brand; I never go a day without having at least 5 Mark. products on, and that is just with makeup! The jewelry and clothing only top off a great makeup line and make you feel great about yourself.

How do you juggle school and work? Do you have much time for anything else?

For me it is not hard to juggle school and work. Right now my main focus is school and I make sure to keep that my top priority. Because of the flexibility of selling Mark I can do it on my own time.

What's your favorite product?

It is so hard to just pick ONE favorite product because I love so many of them! But, right now one of my favorite products is our new Min-a-real cream to powder foundation. It is a really lightweight foundation but it is full coverage and does not cause my face to get oily at all! It also does not cake on your face like some products, and it matches most everyone’s skin tones perfectly, so it doesn’t cause that terrible orange tint that you so often see.

What lessons have you learned from running your own business?

I have learned how to be much more approachable and how to approach people myself. I used to be really shy, but Mark has given me the self-confidence to go up to women and ask them if they have heard of Mark and give them a magalog (the Mark catalog)! I have learned how to entertain a large group of women when they are attending one of my parties, and mainly I have learned how to sell a wonderful product.

Do you have any role models? Who are they and why?

My day to day role model would have to be my sister. She is 26 years old and excels at everything she does in life. She has given me the inspiration to go into business management in hopes that one day I can achieve the same goals she has!

My famous role model is Taylor Swift. Being she is the same age as me she has inspired me since day one. She is so carefree and easygoing and is one of the most approachable women you will ever meet. She is also a gorgeous woman, in a very natural way. A lot of times you will see her with very neutral makeup and a bright lip that just pops! I love her overall style and look.

What lessons did you learn from your mom (and your grandmothers, for that matter), that you apply to your life day to day?

My mom has taught me how to be a strong person and believe in myself. She has always encouraged me to do whatever I want in life and will back me up no matter what. She has taught me how to be more social which has helped me with my Mark business so much! My mom is also one of my role models because she is not afraid of anything and is never afraid to speak her mind.
