Salisbury man accused of stealing model trains from stepfather

A 56-year-old Salisbury man is accused of stealing model trains from his step father and selling them at a pawn shop.

The Salisbury Post reports Richard Wayne Carter is charged with 22 counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense, seven counts each of felony breaking and entering, and felony larceny.

The newspaper reports Carter allegedly first stole some of the model trains from an outbuilding his stepfather owns back in 2008. He reportedly began stealing again this spring, and sold the models at a local pawn shop, the newspaper said.
