Lots of Lake Norman venues are planning parties this New Years Eve to help you say goodbye to 2011 and greet 2012 in style. If youre looking for ideas, check out this months edition of Lake Norman Magazine, which highlights some local festivities.
But maybe youd rather ring in the New Year with a lovely meal the chance to dress up and not worry about someone spilling a drink while waiting in the large line at the bar. A relaxing evening filled with wonderful food, wine and conversation.

FlatIron Kitchen & Taphouse in Davidson presents a wonderful four-course meal that includes salad, starter, entrée and dessert. Light hors doeuvres, party favors and a champagne toast will be provided. The cost is $45 per person and reservations are required. Visit Altons Kitchen and Cocktails in Cornelius for their four-course holiday meal for $35 per person. Main course entrée options include the fresh catch of the day, filet mignon, lamb shank, prime rib or the chefs feature. 131 Main, also located in Cornelius, is planning a special Happy New Years Eve menu that features select starters, entrees and desserts from their menu. Reservations for small parties are still being taken at this popular Lake Norman eatery, which will be open until 10:30 p.m. on New Years Eve. 704-896-0131.
