Well, it’s the week after Christmas and I’ve come to the awkward realization that in the hustle, bustle, and general excitement of the weeks leading up to the holiday I’ve been an infrequent internet denizen, and even worse, neglected my blogging duties.

I’m certain folks have been wondering what happened to me.  Did the guy (or gal, let’s not be sexist) who tried to rip me off come back?   Did MomsCharlotte come to their senses and get rid of my webspace?  Did I get in an accident?

No.  None of that.  Life has been fine.  Quite pleasant, in fact.  But in the act of Christmasing (I wield a mighty gerund) I just haven’t had the time or energy to write.  You could say I've been MIC (Missing In Christmas).

But no fears.  I’ll be back twice as strong in the new year.  We’ll have lots to discuss- possibly starting with the “DO NOT GO” signage my daughter taped to every one of our bathroom doors.  Or maybe I’ll go back to a thought I had earlier in the season about how much I hate The Elf on The Shelf.  There's also an inspired piece floating around in the eggnog about The Nutcracker "Sweet".  Dunno if it will make it out alive or not.  Stay tuned.
