2011 Review

It’s a brand new year.  And with that comes a brand new series of (admittedly contrived) blogs wherein I attempt to review 2011 and the lessons I learned each month. Without further adieu- because this isn’t exactly a difficult concept to understand- here we go.

January 2011 Lessons Learned

-High Ho Cherry O! Is a great game to play with a four year old when you’re snowed in.  The first hour.  After that it gets a little less fun with each new game.

- Geocaching can be a very fun family activity.

- Four year old girls love ballet lessons, and the NCDT is a great place to take them

- Ke$ha makes the worst music known to humanity

- The battery on a hybrid car does not last as long as you would have thought

February 2011 Lessons Learned

- Car buying with a four year old is an exercise in patience

- New cars are fun

- Mecklenburg County thinks my house is worth 108% more than it was the previous assessment

- Speaking of percentages, when someone finally makes an offer on your house in this market it will be 35% less than you were asking.  Making you wonder who Mecklenburg County found to valuate property

-Pre-school parents will inundate your child with candy on Valentine’s Day making your handmade crafts look like doo-doo

-The honey badger just don’t care
