Suspect in lumber company shootings alleged bullying

The family of the man accused of shooting to death three of his coworkers in Montgomery County told family members he was bullied on the job, according to WCNC, the Observer's news partner.

The family of 50-year-old Ronald Dean Davis of Star said Davis told his family and twin brother he was often harassed and made fun of while working. Family members said that Davis informed them he'd taken his complaints to his boss. WCNC cited the NBC affiliate in Winston-Salem as its source.

The owner of the lumber company where Davis worked said he was never informed of any harassment. Authorities said Davis killed three people at the McBride Lumber Co. early Friday and then went home, where he shot himself. He died Saturday. WCNC
