Four Garinger High School students face charges and school system discipline after they were involved in a fight on campus Friday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials say.
The fight broke out about 7:15 a.m., outside a building on the campus of the northeast Charlotte school.
A spokeswoman for CMS says the fight -- which involved a 10th-grader and three 11th-graders, all males -- was the result of a dispute that had started off-campus. CMS officials say they are not sure if the fight was gang-related and are investigating that possibility.
One student suffered a minor head wound.
The four students were charged with public affray.
