Observations: Washington Wizards 102, Charlotte Bobcats 99

Charlotte Bobcats coach Paul Silas's pregame injury report was anything but encouraging. Shooting guard Gerald Henderson was back out, after aggravating his back bruise in Friday's loss at Philadelphia.

Of greater concern was Silas' projection that D.J. Augustin and D.J. White both could be out for the entire four-game trip that will start Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Augustin missed the past four games with inflammation in his right big toe. White has a bruised knee and, according to Silas, now also has a sprained ankle.

It now looks like the first injured Bobcat to come back will be Reggie Williams, who has missed the season so far, following knee surgery. Williams might be ready to play in Phoenix on Feb. 4 or Boston on Feb. 7.

Silas doesn't anticipate Corey Maggette (hamstring strain) to start practicing until the team returns from the game at Boston.

When the Bobcats scored the first basket of Saturday's game, it was the first time they led since midway through the loss to the New York Knicks.
