York County authorities say a woman and her 16-year-old son were severely beaten at a home in Rock Hill late Wednesday. The boy is in critical condition today at a Charlotte hospital.

Authorities are now searching for the woman's boyfriend, who witnesses say was at the home prior and possibly during the assaults.

Police said they were called to a residence on Elder Road in Rock Hill shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities found Kimberly Dawn Faile-Bryant, 35, and her teenaged son severely beaten. They were airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Faile-Bryant was listed in serious condition this morning.

Authorities said an 11-year-old child at the home was not injured.

The Sheriff's Office said it is trying to find the woman's boyfriend, Danny Ray Pittman, as part of its investigation. Authorities are also trying to locate Faile-Bryant's missing car, which is described as a blue 2006 Kia Sorento with a S.C. license plate tag of DDP826.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the York County Sheriff's Office at 803-628-3059, or contact CrimeStoppers at 877-409-4321, or www.yorkcrimestoppers.com.
