Police arrest Troutman man after exposing himself

TROUTMAN, N.C. - Police arrested the man they believed displayed his genitals to a store clerk last month.

Police said the man was acting strange, drawing attention from the female clerk who was behind the counter.

"When the suspect approached the counter to purchase an item, he had his pants pulled down in the front with his shirt over top of them," according to the report. "As the suspect was paying for his drink, the suspect pulled his shirt up revealing his genitals to the cashier."

Friday authorities released surveillance video of a man at the Mystic Gas Station on North Main Street.

That surveillance video produced a tip that led to the arrest of Phillip Beverley.

Beverley is being held at the Iredell County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond. He faces a charge of indecent exposure.
