The man leaving Wal-Mart with the TV

Cherryville police are seeking a man they say walked into a local Wal-Mart and simply walked out with a flat screen television in his arms.

The man entered the Cherryville Wal-Mart last Tuesday night, police said. He walked to the display area and picked up a flat screen TV, then left the store at about 10:45 p.m.

Surveillance photos show him carrying a fairly sizeable TV to the door. Police said it was valued at $500.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Lt. Mike Allred, Sr., of the Cherryville Police Department, at 704-435-1717.
