Two Union County teams return to the Sweet 16 poll today.

In the boys' rankings, Sun Valley is in at No. 16. The Spartans have won 10 straight games and clinched the Southern Carolina 4A title after Friday's 72-53 win against rival Weddington.

Guard Shaun Stewart scored a game-high 32 points to go with 12 rebounds and eight assists. He has a school-record 1,700 career points.

Ahead of Sun Valley there was a lot of movement in the boys' poll as ranked teams met in conference play.

Freedom moved up three spots to No. 5, and No. 6 Charlotte Christian and No. 7 South Mecklenburg zoomed up six spots each.

In the girls' poll, Porter Ridge, a top-five team a few weeks ago, returned to the poll after beating Anson Senior 64-44 at home Friday. Anson, No. 16 last week, fell out of the rankings.
