Police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old Charlotte man in Friday's armed robbery of the First Citizens Bank branch at 241 Medical Park Road, off Interstate 77 Exit 33.

Norbert Matthew Plaud was found Tuesday with the assistance of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the SBI, Police Chief Carl Robbins said.

Plaud is charged with one count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is in the Iredell County Detention Center today under a $150,000 bond.

A man wearing all black walked into the bank shortly before 6 p.m., demanded money from a teller and was given an undetermined amount of cash and a dye pack, which activated in the suspect's car, police said.

Police released to the media surveillance videos of the robbery in progress, showing the man in a black jacket with the word "Security" on the front and back.
