Guys, if you haven't thought of anything for Valentine's Day, I found an interesting list of ideas online. Proceed at your own risk.
Pack A Picnic, Make Her Dinner, Play Her A Song (Yourself). I like the first two. But unless you sing like John Mayer, don't attempt the song. Unless you look like John Mayer, and then maybe you've got something.
Flowers And Candles, Take Her Dancing, Give Her A Massage, Look Deep Into Her Eyes And Say "I Love You." Careful with this one - it's all in the delivery. Make it good, or she's gonna be looking around for her REAL gift.
Take Her To Dinner, Perfume, Breakfast In Bed, Surprise Her, Give Her A Plant. I'm pretty sure if you give her a plant, she will be most surprised.
Fake Stay-Away. "Surprise her by saying you'll be out of town, but then show up at her door with dinner and a movie." Good luck with this one. Tell a girl you won't be around for Valentine's Day, and you'll be the last guy she wants to see at her door. And you won't want to see her either. Because she'll be in sweats, devouring ice cream, with a moisturizing mask on her face, streaked with tears, that are all your fault. I'm guessing.
Go Clubbing, Get A Tattoo. I don't know why I grouped these together, but somehow they just make sense to me.
Take Her Shopping, Outsource A Musician, Buy Her Jewelry, Share A Laugh. I recommend only three out of these four.
Romantic Reading, Make A Donation, Visit A Church, Light A Small Bonfire. If you pick one of these, make sure it's on your way to a really nice, expensive dinner.
Two problematic ones: Give Her Your Favorite Cologne. I think a safer bet is to give her her favorite cologne. Plan A Pool Party For Her At Night. It's February, and I'm sure the indoor pool at the Holiday Inn will be packed that night.
For my guy I'd recommend: Say You're Sorry. This is just a good rule of thumb to apologize for whatever you did, even though you have no idea what it is. A Simple Card - with a short personal note. And the grand finale - Foot Rub.
And if we still want to get a tattoo, then there's plenty of time.
