Robinson Middle School's baseball field.Bright BlessingsGifts for the homeless: Bright Blessings, a local nonprofit serving homeless children and families in Charlotte, will offer monthly family-fun events through 2012. The first event was held Jan. 29 with more than 100 volunteers of all ages preparing birthday gift boxes for local homeless children. The next "Fill a Fun Box" event will be 2-5 p.m. Feb. 26 at 608 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. Four sessions; reservations required. Sponsor a box for $10.
