FRIDAY
• Take your little ones to the Latta Plantation Nature Center this morning at 10 for Pre-K Gardeners.
• Head to the Reedy Creek Nature Center this afternoon to take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count, 1-4 p.m.
• Call a sitter, and plan a fun night out at the Parade of Beads tonight at the Epicentre. Benefiting Speedway Children's Charities.
SATURDAY

• Don't miss the Junior League of Charlotte's FREE Go, Kids, Go! event this morning at Billingsville Elementary, 9 a.m.-noon.
• Today is the official beginning of the Backyard Bird Count. Head to the Latta Plantation Nature Center this morning for their kickoff event with stories, crafts and more, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Other Great American Backyard Bird Count events take place today at the Charlotte Nature Museum, and the Schiele Museum in Gastonia.
