From Kathleen Purvis'
blog I'll Bite, at obsbites .blogspot.com :
With all the sugar and chocolate we ate Tuesday, maybe it's time to try something green and a little more virtuous.
Edamame are green soybeans, and they're found shelled or in the pod in the freezer section of most supermarkets. Pureeing them turns them into a handy and versatile version of hummus. Serve it as a dip with crackers, chips or celery sticks, or serve it warm or at room temperature as a side dish. We even take it to work as a bag lunch with a small can of tuna or a stick of string cheese.
