Benefit dinner for clinic to feature 'Hell's Kitchen' chef

HARRISBURG The 5th Annual Spaghetti Dinner benefiting the Cabarrus Spay Neuter Clinic will feature celebrity chef Lou Petrozza from Hell's Kitchen Season 4 and entertainer Melon Belly from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Hickory Ridge High School, 7321 Raging Ridge Road.

The dinner is sponsored by the Humane Society of Concord & Greater Cabarrus County and other local rescues and businesses.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. All proceeds benefit the clinic.

The menu will include homemade spaghetti, tossed salad, bread, dessert and beverage.

The event also will include door prizes, raffles and an auction, with prizes including for a dinner for six prepared by Chef Lou.

Bakery offers fundraising opportunities

La Patisserie, a family-owned Mooresville bakery recently launched a Buy Local, Support Local, Give Local program that provides several opportunities for local schools, nonprofits, churches and other organizations to raise money for their needs.

La Patisserie offers a "Family Day" where local organizations sign up for a specific day to buy at La Patisserie's two Mooresville locations, and a portion of all proceeds from that organization will be donated in kind.
