MOORESVILLE Enjoy dancing, health screenings, family fun, music, shopping, pampering and prizes at Iredell Health System's Day of Dance for Heart Health on Saturday.

The free event will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St. in downtown Mooresville.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and a catered breakfast program featuring cardiovascular specialists at 9.

Free health screenings, education and consultations will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with no registration necessary. After breakfast, enjoy pampering, shopping and visiting various business booths.

A spa area will offer free haircuts, make-overs and head, neck and shoulder massage by Fringe Hair & Body salon in Mooresville. Massage Envy will provide chair massages and Mary Kay will give free hand treatments. Dance demonstrations and instruction from local dance groups are also scheduled.

In past years, at least 600 residents attended the event, which is part of the national Spirit of Women Day of Dance for Heart Health effort. Nationwide, at least 90,000 participants are expected to dance for their health. Men are welcome, too.

Advance tickets are $10 and registration is required at www.iredellmemorial.org or 704-878-7447.
