The 28th annual Davidson Horticultural Symposium on March 6 will feature gardeners from around the world.
The symposium will feature seven nationally noted horticulturists, including Bill Thomas, executive director of the Chanticleer Foundation in Philadelphia, Pa., and David Howard, a horticultural consultant who specializes in organic gardening and was head gardener for 10 1/2 years at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England, for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.New York Times bestselling author Andrea Wulf also will address the gathering, which will be 9 a.m.- 4:15 p.m. in the Knobloch Campus Center at Davidson College. tThe symposium is titled "The Roots of Passion: The Inspired Gardener."Registration and details: www.davidsonsymposium.org; email at davidsonsymposium@gmail.com.Registration deadline is Feb. 24.
