CERT Program: The town council has had preliminary discussion regarding a CERT program.The Community Emergency Response Team Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area. It is designed to train citizens in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations. The county recently contacted each municipality and has planned these meetings as a way of opening communication between commissioners and the towns. Commissioners discussed several issues like water and sewer, transportation, and what the county services offer with the towns.Alternate position available: The town is trying to fill an alternate position for the Planning Board.
