Lake Norman High

AP Informational Meeting: 6-7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the school. Open to students interested in signing up for Advanced Placement courses for the 2012-2013 school year.

Curriculum Fair: 7-8 p.m. Feb. 28 at the school. Open to current LNHS students looking at course selection prior to registration for the 2012-2013 school year on March 7-9.

Wildcat Spring Sprint 5K and Cat Crawl: 8 a.m. March 3 on the school's campus and cross country trails. Proceeds from the five-kilometer run and one-mile fun run will go towards the school's academic and athletic programs. Cost is $30 for adults, $18 for students, 5K runners under age 8 free. The fun run is also free to all participants. Registration form can be found online at iss.schoolwires.com/cms/lib4/NC01000579/Centricity/Domain/2732/springsprint_final.pdf. Registration forms must be received by Feb. 29, although race-day signups will be taken on a space-available basis.

Mooresville High

ACT Testing: March 6 at the school. All current juniors will take the test during school hours. A free test prep is available online at www.actstudent.org.

Band Boosters Meeting: 7-8 p.m. March 27 at the school's band room.

Brawley Middle

Family Night at TCBY: 5-8 p.m. Feb. 28 at TCBY, Shoppes at Morrison Plantation, 111-D Marketplace Ave., Mooresville. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the school.

PTSO Meeting: 9 a.m. March 1 in the school's media center.

Night of the Arts: 6-8:30 p.m. March 22 at the school. Performances by the school's 9 Week Chorus, Glee performers and WIN Chorus; the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade bands, the seventh- and eighth-grade percussion ensemble and the jazz band. Gift baskets created by each of the first-block classes will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to support the band, chorus and arts programs at the school.

Yearbook Photos: The school's yearbook staff is looking for photos of activities involving BMS students outside of school for use in the 2011-12 yearbook. For more information, email kkennelly@iss.k12.nc.us.

Lakeshore Middle

LNHS Curriculum Fair: 6-8 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Lake Norman High School auditorium. Open to eighth-grade students and their parents.

Spring Picture Day: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. March 8 at the school.

Believe in Brendan Game: 6-7 p.m. March 9 at the school gymnasium. Fundraising student vs. teacher game, with proceeds going to help a fifth-grade student at Lake Norman Elementary who is battling cancer. Tickets are $3 per person.

Mount Mourne IB Middle

LNHS Curriculum Fair: 6-8 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Lake Norman High School auditorium. Open to eighth-grade students and their parents.

Winter Formal: 7-9 p.m. Feb. 24 for sixth-grade students, 7-9 p.m. Feb. 25 for seventh- and eighth-grade students. Both dances will be held at the school. Tickets are $10 for MMIB students, $15 for non-students.

Troutman Middle

McDonald's Night: 5-8 p.m. Feb. 29, McDonald's, U.S. 21, Troutman. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the school.

East Mooresville Intermediate

Leap Year Luncheon: 10:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 29 in the school's media center. Luncheon hosted by the school's Parent-Teacher Organization for the school's teachers, administrators and other staff.
